Chef Babylyn's Kumedor

If you happen to be in Silang, Cavite and are craving for Asian cuisine, Chef Babylyn's Kumedor, home of asian cuisine, is the place to go. Located along Aguinaldo Hi-way in the town of Biga, Silang, it's quite easy to find... coming from Manila, it's on the right side of the road just after the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, and before reaching the Unida Christian Center on the left.

There is ample parking space in front of the restaurant, and the exterior is pleasantly Asian-insprired.

Chef Babylyn offers an array of Asian dishes on her menu, including Filipino, Chinese, Singaporean, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai.

I had a meeting with the Himnario Unida committee at the Unida Christian Center at Biga, Silang, Cavite on a Tuesday morning. And in the afternoon, I was invited to join the Literature Committee meeting, which was held at Chef Babylyn's Kumedor. On this afternoon, we tried the merienda dishes on the menu...

Vietnamese spring rolls... refreshingly fresh vegetables wrapped in Vietnamese rice paper and dipped in sweet-salty sauce.

Mee Goreng, Singaporean fried noodles with a sweet-spicy-salty flavor... it had pork, shrimp and mushroom, topped with strips of scrambled egg and fresh coriander. We all liked this dish... different from the usual pancit canton, it's distinct flavor makes you want for more.

Chap Chae, Korean glass noodles with meat and vegetables, topped with strips of scrambled egg, fried onions, sesame seeds and fresh chives. The noodles are similar to sotanghon noodles, but thicker and firmer to the bite. We loved this dish that we ordered another one to take-out.

I also decided to try their taro shake...
... refreshingly cool... like melted ube ice cream... which I love!!!

Will definitely come back to Chef Babylyn's Kumedor next time we are in the area. I would love to try their other dishes... must bring the whole family so we can order more items on the menu.

Chef Babylyn's Kumedor is located along Aguinaldo Hiway, Biga I, Silang, Cavite. Phone number: 046-4022361
